Now for my project:

First I must say that we are not camping people and I am not very outdoorsy either :(. I am one of those people that attract all the mosquitoes within the surrounding 5 miles as soon as I step outside!!! - and I kid you not!!!- so when our kiddos begged to go camping we - yes the royal we, LOL!- decided to bring the camping indoors ;) And today I am sharing a little project that will help us enhance the indoor "outdoors"  experience :)

Using the Big Dipper Wall Lamp project from the Make it Now section of Design Space, I created a flashlight cover so we could have a "starry" ceiling, There are other constellations that can be easily reproduce such as Gemini and Leo. for which I have  made stencils a while ago to embellish throw pillows.

I began by measuring the circumference of  the flashlight, this one is 3.5" in diameter.I scaled the Big Dipper image down to 3" hiding the lines in the image so it would only cut the circles. I scored them though, so I could project it in the right direction, does it make sense? I hope it does :).... Using a 3.5" circle and hiding the outer circle of the BD image, attached the stars to the larger circle; this creates enough room on the edge of the cover to attach it to the bottom of the Coffee Mug Box from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 without obstructing any of the stars. The Coffee Mug Box was scaled to 3" tall without modifying the length of it. It is about 12.5" if I am not mistaken.

It looks really cool in a very dark room! If you can have a lager flashlight it would be even better I am sure. 

Please note that on the first picture I free hand drew the "lines" so the image would make sense and not look like a bokeh effect :) I also removed the reflector of my flashlight and used an incandescent bulb flashlight instead of an LED flashlight. Why you might ask? The reason is because most LED flashlights have more than one light emission diode and they create a bokeh effect when projecting the light through the cover.

Confession time: I must say I started with a pocket page style LO for this challenge but somehow it disappeared from my table- well all honesty it is still probably in there hiding from view or it could be in the toy bin of my crafty assistant ;).

I also wanted to share a pillow created using SVG images on my Explore. Super simple to put together, just grab your freshly ironed pillow sham and stencil your heart away! I used YUDU  black
