Two CAS projects: a LO and a card.

Hello crafty friends!

I hope your day is going well. Wow, it has been so long since the last  time I posted here, it feels really good to play along a few challenges again. I  have recently been inspired by a couple of Altenew's challenges.

First one Scrapbook Sketch Challenge #8,

Sketch Challenge #8 @SandraDietrich for @Altenew                                                            I used the inspiration LO. I truly love how those "hexagon" hearts turned out. I am trying to stick to simple LOs and I think this fills the bill.

Here are some close ups of the details.

Supplies:
More than Words Stamp Set                 (Title)
Pattern Play- Hexagon            (Border behind picture, XO and big hearts )
Just Because Stamp Set    (journaling)
Charmed Stamp Set                  (small hearts)

And last but not least my take on the March Inspiration Challenge  hosted by Virginia. I truly love the colors and inspiration picture. A true and simple 5 minute card, I have never felt happy with the  POP of color designs I make, they some how feel "unfinished" , this time around I just went with it and moved on, I need to complete a 10 card set soon, so CAS is my go to style for now ... what do you think?

I used the floral image from the Charmed Stamp Set, colored pencils and the just because sentiment from Just Because stamp set. Nothing like a bit of Wink of Stella , gel pen dots covered with translucent Nuvo Drops to add some interest without overwhelming or adding bulk to the design, wouldn't you agree?

Thank you for taking time to stop by, I do appreciate your comment, have a wonderful and blessed day!

Summer Fun Blog Hop, day 4

Hello friends, welcome to day 4 of our Summer Fun Blog Hop!                                 Don't you just love all the projects showcased this week? I am so lucky to be part of this fantastic hop I could not resist to keep on creating and today I want to share with you another Farm inspired project. This time I created a Piñata by recycling a box, using some scrap card stock, crepe paper, the fabulous eBosser, Xyron Corner Glue Stick, sticker maker and the X Tape Runner. I started by removing the flaps from the top of the box and then scoring two horizontal lines on the sides of it and a diagonal from the upper center point to the line on the sides. Cut slits on the corners all the way to the scored lines. Cut a small square on each side -just below the scored line-to run the rope thru them. Also, cut an opening on the back so you can fill it with goodies. Folded the new flaps inwards. Gl...
