Sand Tray turned Key Holder



Hello craft world friends!

I hope your day is going well and that your weekend is off to a great start! I am here to share a quick Key Holder, a perfect way to use a few neglected materials sitting in boxes around here.

It has been quite some time since last I posted anything here. A lot has happened but I am glad I can craft a bit again, please bear with me if my skills are a little rusty.

As soon as I saw the MFT Color Challenge 97



I thought of my sister, she loves corals and yellows. She had asked for a key holder a while back, if I could find the time ( I am the crafty one I have been told LOL!) I checked with her if she still wanted it and she said yes, so off to craft I went. I hope you like it, is very simple but helps destash this CR.







Materials:

Heart shaped brads (paper fasteners)
E6000 adhesive
A lonely sand tray
MFT Well Connected Alphabet Stamps
Versamark Ink and Black embossing powder
Heat gun
Balsa Wood diecuts
Xyron Stiker Maker
Die cutting Machine
Acrylic paints, foam brush and Polyurethane Spray Finish
4 Wall Hooks and screws





First I applied a light yellow paint coat to the tray,




While letting it dry, using a Xyron Sticker Maker I created 2 strips of adhesive backed Balsa Wood and die cut 6 times the word HOME, replacing the O with a heart shape.



I then finished painting the tray and let it dry. Then adhered the letters on top of each other to thicken them and glued them to the tray using Ranger's Multi Medium Matte.  I stamped the word Sweet and heat embossed it. Outdoors I applied a light coat of polyurethane. Let it sit for an hour until dried to the touch and finished adding the Wall hooks with screws accented with "legless" brads.

Summer Fun Blog Hop, day 4

Hello friends, welcome to day 4 of our Summer Fun Blog Hop!                                 Don't you just love all the projects showcased this week? I am so lucky to be part of this fantastic hop I could not resist to keep on creating and today I want to share with you another Farm inspired project. This time I created a Piñata by recycling a box, using some scrap card stock, crepe paper, the fabulous eBosser, Xyron Corner Glue Stick, sticker maker and the X Tape Runner. I started by removing the flaps from the top of the box and then scoring two horizontal lines on the sides of it and a diagonal from the upper center point to the line on the sides.
