A2 Hello, Faux Tile technique(Inspired By Stamping Challenge #52)

 I hope your day is going well. Mine is off to a great start, I am very excited because Joanna, has invited me to Guest Design for the Inspired By Stamping Challenge blog. This week's challenge is the color combo: Blue, Sage Green and Sand/Kraft...

Ever since I saw the IBS: Iris stamp released this month I knew I had to have it, and luckily for me it came on the mail just in time for me to try another technique: Embossed Faux Tiles - I was hopping around the blogosphere and found this pictorial. -


Here is the card:




this is a close up of the finish :) I applied 3 coats of ultra fine embossing powder, but I think if you had a thicker embossing powder you can get faster results :) The tiles were cut at 1.25"

    Liz ~ OMG this is GORGEOUS! Another favortie flower of mine ( note I have at least 4 of these around our home)! I have NEVER seen tiles before on a card and I have to say I LOVE this idea and look! WOW! Thanks for inspiring me to try this and for linking back to where you were inspired by too! Summer Fun Blog Hop, day 4

Hello friends, welcome to day 4 of our Summer Fun Blog Hop!                                 Don't you just love all the projects showcased this week? I am so lucky to be part of this fantastic hop I could not resist to keep on creating and today I want to share with you another Farm inspired project. This time I created a Piñata by recycling a box, using some scrap card stock, crepe paper, the fabulous eBosser, Xyron Corner Glue Stick, sticker maker and the X Tape Runner. I started by removing the flaps from the top of the box and then scoring two horizontal lines on the sides of it and a diagonal from the upper center point to the line on the sides. Cut slits on the corners all the way to the scored lines. Cut a small square on each side -just below the scored line-to run the rope thru them.
