Paper Luminary

Hello Crafty friends!
                                                 
Liz here today to share with you a paper luminary created using the eCraft and eBosser. If you have visited me before, you know I love paper luminaries. Today I am sharing one created for my Twin niece who loves green and wants to cover the flame less candle on her nightstand.






Creative supplies:
Teresa Collins Beautiful Words EF
Tissue paper
Craft Spray Adhesive
12” Cardstock ( mine is from DCWV’s Lemon Flower Stack)
Double sided sticky tape
Faber-Castell PIT Artist Pen big brush in Light Yellow Glaze (104)
eBosser plate combo: ACD + Standard Embossing Folder (for tissue paper)
eBosser plate combo: ABCD + Metallic Shim for thin metal dies.

Creative process:

  • Using Craft Spray Adhesive join (2) layers of tissue paper. Place the tissue paper on the area of your Teresa Collins Beautiful Words E.F. that you want to use. Run through the fabulous eBosser - since the frame is 5” I cut the tissue paper at 5 ¼” and removed any excess with scissors once the project was finished.

  • Highlight the words you want to stand out. Using your PITT Pen  color the words directly onto the folder (using the back of the front panel) and run it through the eBosser again, being careful to avoid shifting of the paper. For a darker color, reapply before removing your paper from the E.F.

  • The base was cut using the eCraft. And cut the window using MCT 4” journaling tag die and eBosser.

  • Put the luminary together using double sided permanent tape.

How about a bonus project? Super quick way to embellish a plain candle: grab some foil and regular card stock and run them trough your eBosser to create a band:


PLEASE NOTE: Safety first, if you want to burn the candle remove the paper. You can only use the foil and that will help minimize the risk of fire. Always be vigilant when burning candles....

Summer Fun Blog Hop, day 4

Hello friends, welcome to day 4 of our Summer Fun Blog Hop!                                 Don't you just love all the projects showcased this week? I am so lucky to be part of this fantastic hop I could not resist to keep on creating and today I want to share with you another Farm inspired project. This time I created a Piñata by recycling a box, using some scrap card stock, crepe paper, the fabulous eBosser, Xyron Corner Glue Stick, sticker maker and the X Tape Runner. I started by removing the flaps from the top of the box and then scoring two horizontal lines on the sides of it and a diagonal from the upper center point to the line on the sides.
